Hi. I upgraded to Ubuntu 18.04 from Ubuntu 16.04. Then after installation I entered my old root password but it was saying authentication failed. I then restarted the system. Then it was not accepting the UEFI password. I think the keyboard layout got changed. How to solve this problem.

-d is developer version. means it will have lots of bugs. if u want to use 18.04 lts download iso file from Ubuntu official website. and if u want to upgrade from 16.04 u need to wait till end of july to get lts version for upgrade. (installing via iso file might remove all your data).

Just "update-manager --help" and you will get " -d, --devel-release If using the latest supported release, upgrade to the development release"
